KENNETH R. STEININGER

Kenneth R. Steininger, age 70, loving father of Gretchen (Marc) Hull, Teresa Steininger, Kenneth C., Patrick J. and Thomas G. (Amy) Steininger; former husband of Maureen Phelan; dear cousin of Emily Moser; and caring friend to many. He retired from WMAQ-NBC with over 25 years of proud service as a broadcast engineer; he was founder of the NBC "Old Chimers" Club; he was an active resident of Monarch Landing Retirement Community. Funeral Service Tuesday, 7 p.m. at the Richard-Midway Funeral Home, 5749 Archer Avenue (corner of Lorel). Bob Trendler, the cheerful bandleader of Bozo’s Circus whose career spanned 40 years on WGN-Channel 9 and WGN-AM (720), died this week (7/18/11) n Palmetto, Florida. He was 99.
