We are pleased to announce that Jeff Garlin will host the 49th Annual Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards ceremony on Sunday, November 18, 2007. The ceremony will be held at 4:00pm at the Thorne Auditorium, 750 N. Lakeshore Dr. (alternative address is 375 E. Chicago Avenue) in Chicago. Thorne Auditorium is on the campus of the Northwestern University Law School. A post-ceremony party will take place across the street at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago Avenue.

Luke Palermo to be given Governors' Award at Emmys |

L     uke Palermo is the 2007 recipient of the prestigious and coveted
Governors' Award voted on by members of the TV Academy's board. Palermo
has been a member of that body for over a dozen years, presiding as
Emmy Co-chair, a powerful
force in CTEC and the donor of a special
scholarship named for his late wife, Sharon. Palermo. He is Associate
Chair of the Television Department at Columbia College. Palermo has
devoted his life to educating prospective TV professionals. We sat down
with Luke to hear his reaction to the news.
