The Movieside Film Festival is the largest short film festival in the world and finds its home in Chicago. In the past four years Movieside has screened over 400 short films by film makers from all over the world including works by David Cronenberg, Christine Hart, Guy Maddin, Sarina Khan Rheddy, Doug Lussenhopp, Kirsten Stoltmann, David Lynch, Bridget Farr, Nathan Pommer and many many more. The festival has been hosted by independent film mavericks such as John Waters, Jim Jarmusch and George A. Romero. Rusty is currently in post-production of a documentary called HIGHWAY ROBBERY - this is the story of a 65 year-old blind veteran whose land was taken from him via eminent domain to enable a 17 million dollar highway to be built on his property which includes wetlands and Native American burial grounds. He is also working on a documentary about George A. Romero titled DEAD ON: The life and cinema of George A. Romero.
