Monthly Networking Socials:

Members told us they wanted more social get-togethers to network with fellow members and NATAS Board members. Well, we recently held a networking event at the House of Blues, and we're now planning "Networking Socials" every month. We'll send out an e-mail once we set our next date and location.

Our industry is changing! More and more companies are laying off staff members and hiring freelancers to fill their work needs.
Successful freelancers will tell you first hand everything you need to know - from day rates and billing to promoting yourself in the freelance world. Also on hand will be producers, who frequently hire freelancers, giving their insight.

Facebook and Twitter appear to be everywhere. What are they? What do they do? Why should I care? If you're not on them yet, then this is the seminar for you. Learn about the world of social media and why you should get in the game. This introduction to social media is meant for anyone who thinks "oh, that isn't for me." If you're in the television industry, it is for you.

Social Media 201 - Tips for the Trade
Facebook and Twitter: Using it for success. Maybe you already have a Facebook page and you've tweeted once or twice, but still do not know how to maximize its potential. Then "Tips for the Trade" is what you need. Learn a variety of ways to take advantage of social media to advance your knowledge of the industry, promote your skills, network, and maybe even, find a job.
