2007 Silver Circle Honors Dinner - May 4, 2007

We recently announced the seven Chicago television greats who have been chosen for our 2007 Silver Circle.

They will be honored on May 4, 2007 at the Drake Hotel. The Silver Circle, established by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences recognizes outstanding individuals who have devoted a quarter of a century or more to the television industry both on-camera and behind the scenes.

An Interview with Sunmee Choi

Sunmee Choi has been recently elected to her first term as a NATAS governor. She is both on air talent and executive producer of three national programs for the Total Living Network headquartered in Aurora, Illinois. She has seven Chicago/Midwest Emmy nominations to her name including one for individual excellence on camera. Being on both sides of the camera gives her a unique perspective on broadcasting. She also runs a media and image consulting business. We sat down with Sunmee to talk about her very unusual path to the small screen.

The Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) is offering two $2500 high school scholarships to current high school seniors:

The Donald & Lorena Meier Scholarship

The 2007 Silver Circle Scholarship

Deadline: April 2, 2007

The scholarships have been established by the Board of Governors to assist and encourage talented high school seniors preparing to attend post-secondary institutions and who are committed to careers in the television industry.
